WINOC non-exclusively partners with a number of external, independent consultants, called Advisors, as a means to supplement staffing on client engagements. Many of these Advisors are listed at OUR STAFF

For larger projects, and to fulfill special and/or unique client needs, WINOC can readily expand its Advisor Network if necessary. This can be done through additional project-specific Advisors or through partnering with other firms as subcontractors to WINOC.

WINOC partners with Chagrin River Consulting in areas of Change Management, Strategic Planning, Best Manufacturing Practices, Lean Manufacturing and Organizational Excellence.

WINOC is partnering with Lean Enterprise, Inc. to provide Lean Enterprise training and consulting services to WINOC Clients.

The Cleveland Alliance

The Cleveland Alliance

WINOC is party to an informal alliance called The Cleveland Alliance (TCA). Currently Fotedar Associates and Gookins Technologies have joined with WINOC in this alliance. TCA works with top leaders at the enterprise level of organizations and companies in order to drive performance improvement in a transformational and top-down manner. MAGNET

Manufacturing Advocacy and Growth Network

WINOC is a member of the Manufacturing Advocacy and Growth Network (MAGNET).

Approximately 75 manufacturers from fifteen Northeast Ohio counties, as well as representatives from the Greater Cleveland Partnership, CAMP, Team NEO, NorTech, WINOC and many others, spent more than a year developing a plan of action for manufacturing in Northeast Ohio.  The endeavor was called the Global Roadmap for Manufacturing project and resulted in the formation of MAGNET.

The mission of MAGNET is to support, educate and champion Northeast Ohio manufacturing with the goal of transforming the region’s economy into a powerful, global player.

Northeast Ohio Network for Labor and Management Cooperation

Fostering positive labor and management relationships in northeast Ohio. 

The Northeast Ohio Network for Labor and Management Cooperation in the workplace is a group of non-profit service providers from Canton, Kent, Elyria, Mansfield and Medina that cover 20 counties in northeast Ohio. They provide customized training and consulting to unionized organizations, especially manufacturing. Their specialties include: change-management, culture-change, small group/interest-based problem solving and facilitation of employee involvement and team building. They help enhance the effectiveness of Lean and Six Sigma productivity and quality change processes by facilitating communications and trust-building between union and management leadership.

WINOC's partners in this endeavor include: 

Great Lakes Organized Labor Management Council (GLOLMC) at Lorain County Community College, Elyria, Ohio.  

Ohio Employee Ownership Center (OEOC) at Kent State University, Kent, Ohio.

Northeast Ohio Labor Management Council, Canton, Ohio. 

Employee Participation Council of North Central Ohio, Mansfield, Ohio.

Affiliations

As a non-profit, and consistent with our articles of incorporation, WINOC is prepared to, and does, affiliate with other academic and non-profit organizations in order to execute our mission.

WINOC collaborates with WIRE-Net on Programs of mutual interest and benefit to our respective northeast Ohio clients.

WINOC has been active with the Akron Canton Section of the American Society for Quality (ASQ) in terms of participation and providing speakers for their meetings and conferences.

WINOC conducts manufacturing forums throughout northeast Ohio and has partners with the following organizations as cosponsors of these events:

Ohio Labor Management Cooperation Program

WINOC, through the Northeast Ohio Center for Labor Management Cooperation is a partner with nine other members of the Ohio Labor Management Cooperation Program (OLMCP). The OLMCP is a program of the Ohio Department of Development that enhances the relationship between labor and management through work-site training programs, regular meetings, workshops and conferences.
